Hawaii Fire Department officials said a storage shed adjacent to Habitat for Humanity in Waimea was destroyed by a fire early Thursday morning.
Six units answered the 12:43 a.m. alarm, with the first unit arriving at the scene on Kawaihae Road six minutes later.
Arriving firefighters reportedly found the 600-square-foot storage shed fully engulfed.
The fire was brought under control and extinguished within a half-hour.
Damage is estimated at $36,000. The cause of the fire is undetermined and the scene was turned over to police, HFD said.
